To take a screenshot: when the event occurs press the Prt Scr button at the top of the keyboard (end of the F1-F12 keys) and select paint or another program used to open pictures and select the Copy option; now save it as a .jpg and send it to the above link.

I logged out because the same character then interupted another game I was playing with jerelove.  buzzn4life implied they had snooped my pc, seen pictures, said my firewall was inactive.

I am sorry nothing can be done with out proof.  I know the feeling, back when I was a noob I had someone abusing me and I didn't know about SSs then, wish I did.  Sometimes if you are in a room and have taken a SS but still would like a Mod to come in the room too it helps if you include the game and room # with the screenshot or plea for help.  
I am not guaranteeing anyone will come in immediately but if a mod happens to look at their Mod mail with in a few seconds of receiving your plea for help they will come running in as if the Commissioner had flashed the Bat Signal. LOL

There is also a mute button !

To be fair to "pitstop pete" though he is concerned about the threats that have been given about his pc/hacking etc. which the mute button doesn't magically deal with :)

I'm no computer expert but I'm pretty sure people cannot just acquire your IP address from FlyOrDie (Doesn't the connection go through multiple servers between your home and the game server?) fearnlothin will probably able to explain it better than me (or even tell me I'm wrong) :p 

If so you have nothing to worry about, as myself I've seen plenty of people (Mostly after annoying them on MSN :D) give the old "you're firewall is inactive I'm going to hack you" statement.

Even if they have your IP address they need intimate knowledge of programming language, such as C++ or ASCii to create something that more than likely wouldn't have a chance past a firewall as most antivirus's can pick up such coded malware rather easy and if it didn't it wouldn't be a difficult thing to get rid of.

And it is possible to accquire an IP address...but rather difficult to anything but look at the numbers with it.

The moderation team understands how you feel but you must understand we can not moderate players if we don't see what was said.

We need to see a screen shot of what was said if we are not in the game to see it for ourselves.

If your not sure how to send a screen shot maybe this will help you out.

I copied this from another post and just updated it a little because of the new mail form we have that must be used to contact the moderators. Most, if not all mail that is sent not using the form, may be bounced back to the sender.

1. find the key on your keyboard which says print screen

2. press it

3. go to start

4. go to all programs

5. go to accessories

6. go to paint

7. once paint is open go to edit

8. click paste under the edit frame

9. go to file

10. click save as

11. change format to JPEG

12. give it a name

13. click save

14. open the report abuse form, find your file you just saved and attach it to the form

i don't see how they c an do it.... they can't know ure ip like nothing...

They can get your IP, the process is more time consuming and less gratifying...and about the only way I know of is if they coded a program that was able to get through the numerous routers and hubs to get too your connection, a long and very drawn out process to which has no guaranteed effect.  Look at it this way, first they have to go through your ISP (near impossible for most ISP's) then they have to get through the numerous servers and routers between you and any given website after that (persay they actually were able to get your IP) they would have to figure out what to do with your IP which is highly unlikely unless you go through a terrible ISP which to my knowledge all of the available one's have solid security.  Also another thing worth noting is if your connection is through a typical 56k modem it doesn't matter if they have an IP it will change the next connection.

Hi folks.  Thank you for all your kind advice and help.  I now feel a lot calmer about the whole situation earlier.

I've copied and pasted the instructions for carrying out a screenshot so thanks for the heads up on that especially.

Must look closer at the console and see how to 'mute' people.  That sounds like the best approach lol.

the mute button is the circle one with a line through it, u can see if there muted because that will apear red on there name
