I was playing in a tournament at

 and it was a black ball game i was 2 points ahead and i pot the black plus the white and therefore my opponent was 5 points ahead. Then the game ended and i lost im sure in the rules of snooker both balls should be respotted. i was 5 points behind and so i could have won by 2 points if i pot the black. Are fod rules correct or am i right?
