Thord Artin player guide. Posted: Jan 15, 2006 4:29 PM
Basics of Thord Artin

How to get there

Antiballast First of all you need to pay the king the sum of 1 million silvers. This is done in the bank paying 40,000 silvers each time (with a 5,000 silver fee for doing so). You will get an antiballast when you have paid the 1 million. Make sure you do not lose this, or you will have to pay another million.

You can not have more than one antiballast, so there is little point in paying more than the million, unless you have lost the one you had.

Boat - now you need to make a further 5 million silvers in your bank. This might seem like a lot (and it is) but as there is little use for a fighter or mage under level 30 on Thord Artin, then there is no need to worry about this.

Once you have the 5 million silvers, you also need 10 nets, then go to the North Port (this is the one all of us Thord Artin people use) and click the "acquire/upgrade boat" button to purchase your boat.

The journey Getting to Thord Artin is relatively easy now you have your boat, all it needs is some concentration. You need to click North until you see an island, then click North 4 more times. Now you need to click 23 times EAST to get to the main port of Thord Artin.

Welcome To Thord Artin!!

Now you have arrived, welcome to the battlefield my friend. There isnt much room for maneuver here, but there is enough room to still do certain things.

The main objective, and the reason why you probably came here is to fight the large army that has invaded the island. SHY mode is the best way to fight here, so that you kill more monsters.

There are various different monsters and they have different colours depending on how difficult they are to kill.
The easiest to kill are the blue monsters, followed by red, black and silver.
The monsters you can see here are cityguards, axefighters, necrolords, magelords and warlords, with other even tougher monsters to follow.
For more help on Thord Artin monsters, consult

Each monster you kill gets you a magic nub, which is used for building, and sometimes you also get an extra mana potion, recovery drink (gives you 100% hp and mana), mobile diavovino (120% hp and mana) and if you are lucky you might also get an alien whatsisname.

If you die on Thord Artin, you are sent back to your home on Larkinor, and must pay to have your boat returned to Larkinor so you can return to Thord Artin.

Defense Merit Badges
Fighting on Thord Artin is a brave and noble duty, and the king shall reward you with Defense Merit of Larkinor badges. The more you kill the better the badge gets.
The first few are: Defense Merit - 100 kills
Brass Def Merit - 250 kills
Silver Def Merit - 500 kills

And if this wasnt enough....

Supply tent
For each kill you make on Thord Artin, you also get one credit to spend at the supply tent. Here you can purchase various items depending on your character level. Your appropriation is the amount of credit you have to spend in the supply tent. If you want more credits, kill more monsters. Simple.

The other major task under way is the rebuilding of the various shops and buildings of Thord Artin. Below is a step by step guide to building and placing a stone.

To make a small building stone you need the following:-

1 diamond nail - acquired by STEALING from the dropdown menu on Thord Artin, robbing on Larkinor, or simply buy them from the markets,
1 oreputty - acquired by digging on Thord Artin (must have at least 11 luck) or buying from market.
1 magic nub - acquired from Thord-Artin monsters or the markets.

This is the recipe, and they must be made in any Larkinorian Mage Tower (20 manapoints and 1 silver required for each stone made).
Large building stones can be made, using 10 of each ingredient. These cost 100 manapoints and 1 silver.

Now take your building stones to Thord Artin and click the icon of the building you want to build the stones on. You get experience points and construction points for doing so.

Freeman Ranks
As with fighting, you also get points for building. The first few ranks are:-
Brass ranked freeman - 250 stones
Silver ranked freeman - 500 stones
Gold ranked freeman - 1000 stones

Digging on Thord Artin
If you dig on Thord Artin, then you will often get oreputty, and depending on how much luck you have depends on the amount of oreputty you can dig up in one click.
11 luck = 1 oreputty maximum.
61 luck = 2 oreputty maximum.
111 luck = 3 oreputty maximum...etc

You also get the same items you do when digging on Larkinor.

Stealing on Thord Artin
It has been agreed that stealing from other characters on Thord Artin is considered ungentlemanly (and ungentlewomanly too). Anyone found stealing from other players on Thord Artin will be hunted down.

Stealing from the drop down menu will get you silvers and diamond nails. Depending on your stealing level will determine how many nails you get each time.

The most recent new task on Thord Artin is monstology, where characters of larkinor can transport monsters from Larkinor to Thord Artin. There are certain requirements and necessities for this, however.

You must have acquired the Defense Merit of Larkinor badge to do monstology.
You also need a net and either fodder or a fodder satchel to feed your monster once you have caught it with a net.

Simply go into battle with a monster on Larkinor, and use the drop down menu to "Catch the monster". Then take it to Thord Artin, feeding it if and when required.

A monster can only be released on a square that does not have an army adjacent to it.

You get experience points and monstology points, which vary on the monster, your character level, and also how many monsters of the same kind have been released on that square.

Ship level

Higher ship levels can be bought at the port, with each upgrade costing more and more.

Upgrading to level 2 costs 10 million silvers, while an upgrade to level 3 costing a further 15 million.

There is a benefit of having a higher ship level though, in that it takes less clicks to make the journey to Thord Artin.
Level 2 boats take 20 clicks, and level 3 boats take just 14 clicks. Higher level ships are also available.

Any further questions please post elsewhere in the forum, and someone will be happy to help

well the point of releaseing and establishign monsters is this: defeat daemon army, building the buildings,re-establish the monsters. In order for the island to be complete it must have all of these factors completely then maybe it makes something else happen.

Building stones cannot be built in the TA mage tower, the function was disabled to prevent people buying levels. You have to build them on larki.

I'm not quite on TA yet, but I will be soon (as soon as I get about 2 mil more in my bank) --this guide is very helpful. Three questions:
I know that you need 5 min in the bank to get a boat, does that mean that 5 mil will be 'withdrawn' when you get the boat, or do you simply need to keep a balance of 5 mil in your bank account?
I know that having the boat sent back to Larki from TA costs money (and more if your ship is higher level), but on average what does it cost?
Also, is level 3 the highest level for a ship?
Thanks in advance.

The 5 million is withdrawn from your account in the bank, and all subseqent upgrades see the money withdrawn.

Can only speak for a level 2 boat, that costs from just under 1k for a level 26 to just under 3k for level 69.

And theres at least one level 7 boat traveling the water in larki at present.

the cost to return a boat to a port varies with your char lvl, the lvl of the boat, and the direct distance (not distance travelled... think pythagorean theorem).

>And theres at least one level 7 boat traveling the water in larki at present.
there's actually a lvl 8 boat travelling in the waters... i'm not sure if there is a lvl 7 or not.

when you defeat a released monster on TA , does that open a slot to release another monster, or can the released monsters be eliminated once they are established ?

1st you only encounter released somsters once they are established, once they are established they can not be eliminated.
