ok, i'm gonna run some quick numbers here... we'll do a subbed char, lvl 30, boat lvl 2 (reasonable for anyone who builds regularly), and a measly 100kg capacity (asuming he may be wearing armour/weapons for safety, which take up the rest of the weight capacity). so we've got 820 clicks to work with. and i'll let "X" represent the experience earned per small stone for a lvl 30 char (where 1 huge stone then earns "5X", since that is half the experience of 10 small stones).
buying stones:
considering a builder will want to be beside or below market, so when they homeport from TA, they will be as close to the market as possible, from home, they will take
9
clicks to get from home to cc and have enough ingredients in pack (to market, in market, pick up filler item, pick up exact amount of cash needed, dump filler item, buy nubs, buy putty, buy nails, leave market, up to cc).
building single stones with mage:
a mage will have plenty of mana to build them all in two trips to tower (since 100 stones will require 2000 manapoints). so to build the stones alone, and be back outside the tower the mage requires
114
clicks (in pub, buy dd, leave pub, in tower, in back room, 50 clicks for stones, leave back room, leave tower... repeat).
building single stones with fighter:
we will asume our fighter can get 200 manapoints with a dd (which is not always the case for a lvl 30 fighter, but can be if you have more than 1 iq from the start, or even char's on about lvl 40 can have 200 manapoints with 1 iq with a dd). this allows him to complete 10 stones per trip into the tower. and each trip costs 17 clicks, giving a total of
170
clicks (in pub, buy dd, leave pub, in tower, in back room, 10 clicks for stones, leave back room, leave tower... repeat 9 more times).
building huge stones with mage:
since a huge stone only requires 100 mana, our mage from two sections ago would be able to make all 10 huge stones in one trip to the tower, with 1000 manapoints. this requires a total of
17
clicks (in pub, buy dd, leave pub, in tower, in back room, 10 clicks to build, leave back room, leave tower).
building huge stones with fighter:
again, huge stones only require 100 mana each, and we asumed our fighter had 200 mana. so he will require 5 trips of two huge stones per trip. this requires a total of
45
clicks (in pub, buy dd, leave pub, in tower, in back room, 2 clicks to build, leave back room, leave tower... repeat 4 more times).
travelling, placing stones, and homeporting:
so from cc, it takes 6 clicks to get into your boat (4 to port, into port building, out onto boat). then for the 40-step trip to TA port, it is 20 clicks with a lvl 2 boat. in and out of port on TA, up to teleport square costs another 6 clicks. placing stones and homeporting is two more. so we've added
34
more clicks to the trip, and we're back where we started. time for a summary.
total clicks required for each of the four cases:
mage building small stones: 157
fighter building small stones: 213
mage building huge stones: 60
fighter building huge stones: 88
total trips per day each of four cases can make:
this is given by daily clicks (820) divided by number in above section.
mage/small: 5.22
fighter/small: 3.85
mage/huge: 13.67
fighter/huge: 9.32
total experience earned daily by each of four cases:
remember that small stones will make X experience per stone, for a total of 100X per trip. and huge stones offer 5X experience each, for a total of 50X per trip.
mage/small: 522X
fighter/small: 385X
mage/huge: 684X
fighter/huge: 466X
conclusion:
so for this generic case, both the mage and the fighter make better daily experience for huge stones ;) hope this helps anyone who wasn't yet sure.
