hello there all.

just wondering is there a limit of clicks a creature can follow you for? i used to think it was 4 but i seem to be having 800 year old vamps following me for 7 and 8 clicks on occasion.

does it depend on the monster/its level etc or is there just a standard?

Think it depends on the monster's quickness and how much luck and quickness you have. If you have a character with say 1 quick and 1 luck, some monsters might follow you for a few steps then catch up to you and attack.

i seem to also think it depends on quick (and luck, because luck affects practically everything to a small extent). my quick fighter seems to be able to get away from monsters much easier than my persistance fighter who's on the same lvl. so if this is true, higher lvl monsters hypothetically have higher quickness, so they'd have more of a chance of keeping up to (or even catching) you than lower lvl monsters would.

It's gotta be quickness and luck. Just read the messages you get when you "outrun" one:

Luck:
The unknown creature tries to catch you and gets nearer and nearer!
You try to escape from the unknown creature...
You were lucky! The unknown creature shove off.

Quickness:
The young toaddragon tries to catch you and gets nearer and nearer!
You try to escape from the young toaddragon...
The young toaddragon couldn't keep up with you.
