I was carrying 7 huge and 6 smalls :)

so i had 7 huge and 2 small left which i then put into the general store above the market

Well, that answers a few questions that I've always wondered about.  The only thing left is finding out what will happen if you complete the last 9 or fewer blocks of a building with a huge stone!
