A nice improvement would be if the game software could regonize when it is impossible for either player to get five in a row, and immediately end the game in a draw.  Several times I have been in games that are clearly going to end in a draw but have been forced to help fill in all 225 squares by my opponent, who apparently is hoping that I will run out of time.  This seems to be a rather pointless exercise.
