why is this its pretty annoying and makes it a smaller screen?

change it back to normal please.

i hate it too but just hit F10 uncheck status bar and it makes it better

yes please restore it back to what it was earlier. .unless its a technical necessity,i dont think it as an welcoming change...i hope u do something in this regard.
