I've been playing othello on this site for a while now, and while I might not be the best player, I feel like I've made a bit of a time investment and would like to see this site continue to be one of the top sites for othello. As such, I'd like to propose a list of etiquette guidelines to maintain and improve play. Feel free to comment:

1) Don't use programs while you play with humans. It is tacky and cowardly.

2) Don't drop out of a match in the mid-game or end-game just because you are losing. For the serious player, the experience of working through those stages is important, even in defeat.

3) Make an attempt to write and speak with correct grammar.

4) Don't heckle other players. Practice polite messaging and sportsmanship, such as saying hello, goodbye, and good game.

5) Don't "gift" points to people. It is misguided and insulting.

6) Take politics and religion discussion elsewhere and leave the message board for game discussion.
Yeah well. This adds to all the games availiable.
