Doubts about Average Break Statistic Posted: Mar 5, 2012 7:16 PM
Reply
Hi guys
I have some doubts that the avg break stats are mathematically correctly calculated. I recognized often, that when I played only one frame and I got just breaks over my avg that the avg went down.
Just one short example: my avg before frame was 18.2 then i played breaks of 1,37,19 and 18, thats an avg of 18.75 in that frame.
After the stats got refreshed i got avg of 18.1
Happened few times now.
I just want FOD to check if the way its calculated is correctly.
May look unimportant to most, but I think if we have a statistic, then it should work properly.

Thx
Sincerely grüezi

The average break is calculated from the last 50 frames.
Therefore if the 51st frame (that has just been dropped) was higher than your last one, the overall average will decrease, even if the last one is higher than the average.

In fact, why do you mind the average break much? Just a number. I have this problem much. But that does not affect anything.
