move timers Posted: Apr 26, 2017 6:54 AM
Could someone please explain to me how the timers work? I see 2 different move timers: a 2 minute timer beside each player name, and a 15 sec. timer at the top. Sometimes the 2 minute timers are in play; at other times it's the 15 sec. timer, and there doesn't seem to be any consistency in when they come into play. Very frustrating. One minute I have 2 min. to make a move, then a while later only 15 seconds. I can't find anything in the rules to explain the difference.

There are two timers, as you have noted.

1, you have 15 seconds for each turn. It will be reset after each turn.

2, there is an extra 2 minutes timer, which will start to tick only if you have run out of the (15)s timer. This (2min) timer will not be reset, so you have this additional 2 minutes for the whole game.

If you have depleted the (2min) timer, you will have to make sure you complete each turn within 15 seconds, otherwise you lose the game.

Hope this answers your question.
