Complaining about Doubling

Why do some players get so mad about doubling?  It is a fun part of the game.  You work into position, get an advantage, and double.

Especially at the later stages, some people think it is disrespectful, why?

Other than sore losers, i cannot come up with anything on that. Its a game strategy that allows you to maximize your chance of winning. Resign if you dont like it!

And the people that double on the very first roll---- REALLY get mad when you are winning a game and then double.

Haha, yes.  Doubling at the beginning gives that advantage to the other player.  I don't understand this strategy.
