Rating Change
To OPERATOR:

I have been noticing that my rating is different when I log in from the last time that I was logged in. Is there a reason for this? And if so, why is my rating decreasing when I am not playing, that is, when I have not won or lost?
Today I logged in - 11 days after I last logged in when my rating was 810 - to see my rating is now 746. I'm curious how my rating can decrease by 64 points when I have not played a single game in those 11 days. It's been over a month since I first inquired about this...

Operator, thank you for your timely response to my question.

Dear zobbin,
Here is a quote from
http://www.flyordie.com/games/help/rating_system.html
 :

Rating reduction
Overall ratings are decreased each day by an amount depending on the current rating.

The following formula is used:
Rn = ( Ro * Ro ) / 125000
Rn is the new rating.
Ro the old (previous day) rating.

Thank you for your reply and posting the related link.. I was unaware (clearly) of the application of a rating reduction.
