Happy Halloween Everyone

Đєνιlιѕһ♦ aka Nikki x

I once thought i saw some kind of ghostly figure at the top of my stairs, never saw it again, reminded me of a boy shining shoes but who knows :p
Just a bunch of monsters
Looking for some treats
Hoping for some goodies
Good enough to eat

Took our time to dress up
Thought of it all year
Please no penny candies
They seem to disappear

Like those big fat chocolates
Forget those bellyaches
Mommy will inspect them
She'll say they tasted great

Monsters on a rampage
Looking for some stash
Hoping in the special bag
We'll find a little cash

Pennies by the handful
Nickels by the pound
Monsters by the dozen
With pockets to the ground

Really we're not choosey
Just delightful guests
Happy that it's Halloween
Hoping you're impressed.

C'mon everyone where are your stories? :p

I just thought of something else that happened to me about a year ago, i had gone downstairs for a quick snack at about 11 pm, i finished it and started to go upstairs..

Suddenly i heard a splashing of water (as if something had fallen into a bath for example) in the bathroom, it could be explained by something falling in as i just pointed out.... However no taps were running and neither the bath or the sink was filled with water.

Anyone think of an explanation?, it sounded like something very heavy falling into a large amount of water, i have never got my head round it and it certainly freaked me out, :p
I think you had better move house Çhris

Was someone having a number two?..problem solved..relax now chris lol..
I have a spooky story, but it’s not mine (Thank God)
It's my dad’s lol.. Going back years, (cos he is ancient)
Shhhh I didn’t tell u that. :p
Anyway, he was on his way home, he had been out with
His friends from work, so he was a lil tipsy..
He noticed a Woman walking beside him, she was dressed
In what he Described as “Victorian attire” he didn’t think
Anything of it, He just figured she was on her way home from
A fancy Dress party or something. He nodded politely when
She looked at him and then she nodded back.
Well at that time my dad lived alone in an apartment, so when
He arrived at his apartment block he turned to go up the steps,
The lady also turned with him, my dad was confused cos he
Didn’t recognise the woman, so he let her go first, being a
Gentleman. She said thank you and proceeded up the stairs,
He stayed back a little, cos her enormous dress took up a lot of
Room on the stairs. He watched her go up the stairs and straight
Through the wall!!
He said he ran out and stayed at a friend’s house lol. Not that I blame
Him

:p

You sure he was only a LITTLE bit tipsy lol
Theres an explanation for everything by the way ..i think :|
Like the "number 2" explanation you gave to me when no one else was downstairs :p All i can think of is that the splash was something to do with the toilet..

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visiter," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door --
Only this, and nothing more."
Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; -- vainly I had tried to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow -- sorrow for the lost Lenore --
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore --
Nameless here for evermore.
And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me -- filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
"'Tis some visiter entreating entrance at my chamber door --
Some late visiter entreating entrance at my chamber door; --
This it is, and nothing more."
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you " -- here I opened wide the door; ----
Darkness there and nothing more.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore!"
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!" --
Merely this, and nothing more.
Then into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon I heard again a tapping somewhat louder than before.
"Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore --
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;--
'Tis the wind and nothing more!"
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not an instant stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door --
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door --
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the Nightly shore --
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
Quoth the raven "Nevermore."
Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning -- little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no sublunary being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door --
Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as "Nevermore."
But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered -- not a feather then he fluttered --
Till I scarcely more than muttered "Other friends have flown before --
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."
Quoth the raven "Nevermore."
Wondering at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
"Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster
Followed fast and followed faster so when Hope he would adjure --
Stern Despair returned, instead of the sweet Hope he dared adjure --
That sad answer, "Never -- nevermore."
But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore --
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."
This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o'er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!
Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Angels whose faint foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
"Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee -- by these angels he hath sent thee
Respite -- respite and nepenthe, from thy memories of Lenore;
Let me quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!"
Quoth the raven "Nevermore."
"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil! -- prophet still, if bird or devil! --
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted --
On this home by Horror haunted -- tell me truly, I implore --
Is there -- is there balm in Gilead? -- tell me -- tell me, I implore!"
Quoth the raven "Nevermore."
"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil -- prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us -- by that God we both adore --
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore --
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore."
Quoth the raven "Nevermore."
"Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend!" I shrieked, upstarting --
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! -- quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
Quoth the raven "Nevermore."
And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted -- nevermore!

Wow--first time here!

OK...my topic...

See...one afternoon, Sam, Tucker, and myself were snooping around my father's lab, when Sam asked me what that big machine was in the corner. Well, I said it was my dad's ghost portal, but that it didn't work. She asked me if I ever wondered what was on the other side...as in what would it be like in the "Ghostly Dimension". I was curious as all heck, so I slipped on one of my dad's jumpsuits (Sam thankfully ripped my father's patch off first) and ventured forward. It was dark, and kind of spooky, so I had to place my hand on the wall to steady myself when....

ZAP!!!!

A sudden shock went through my body, making me feel much like a Christmas bulb, and then, I passed out. The next thing I remember is Sam and Tucker pulling me out of the portal and fussing over me, telling me that the portal DOES work...that it went on and there was a GREAT white flash and that I screamed out. I don't remember that part, and I felt really strange when I finaly did get up.

That isn't the end of the story...

I noticed that Sam and Tucker were both looking at me with their jaws hanging down to their knees and their eyes as big as dinner plates. I ran over to the mirror...

And...

What I saw almost stopped my heart.

My raven-black hair had turned snow white...and my blue eyes were now a glowing green color!! I found out in the coming days so much more about what had happened to me. I discovered I could walk through walls, disappear, and fly, not to mention shoot various ghost rays from my hands, and now freeze-rays too! I also can over-shadow people, which means I can take over their bodies and make them do as I please. I don't really like that one.

That is my story...I had become half-ghost, and now I can sense when ghosts are around, and I spend my days battling them and sending them back to the Ghost Zone, which is the proper name for that ghostly dimension somewhere above the "normal" plane...or below it.

Scary enough for you?

A human...a normal 14-year-old Freshman at Casper High...becoming half-ghost in the wink of an eye. It's not always fun...it is sometimes scary and even sometimes sad since only 3 people know my secret, but...it is me. I am...

DANNY PHANTOM.
Happy Halloween!!!

Animals Disappearing Over- Night Short Halloween Story

Of all things Halloween would be here in a few days, and I had to go out into the dark, to the pasture each night when I got off work.

I had rented the land to a couple with horses and the man had called asking me to care for them. Normally I wouldn't had minded, but this time last year, some really gross things happened.

It started out with a warning on the television for all pet owners to bring their animals inside for a while until the police could figure out what was happening!

At first I wasn't sure what they were talking about. After-all with me just coming in from work and trying to get the things done that needed done, I had missed most of the news that night.

But I remember it like yesterday, all the horrifying things that happened during Halloween Eve.

According to the authorities many animals were butchered that week. It seemed the culprits dismembered their carcasses and used the heads and blood as a worshiping at their altar.

The newscasters showed some on television, warning all parents that it was graphic. I wished over and over that I hadn't glimpsed that way at the wrong moment.

What was that, I thought to myself? I had heard a noise outside. So I quickly look out my window but saw nothing. But what if, I thought?

Tonight was a cool and humid, a dense fog had sat in along the surface of the ground making it hard to define anything.

I found myself tonight envisioning the news cast from last year, still seeing the vivid and horrid sight of the animals heads all lined across with sticks and poles supporting them.

What surprised me most was it was heads of different kinds of animals, like rabbits, dogs and including a horse.

There scattered about in a pattern of a circle and star it seemed was candles. Being so on edge, I could of sworn I saw jars of blood spilled upon the ground.

It was getting late and here I was scaring myself silly. I have to walk out so far into the dark to reach the pasture. Shaking off the shiver of fright that begin to build.

Thinking to myself, that the one dog on a stick was the neighbors little girls dog whom lived 5 houses down the way from me. So sad it was for that family for such a horrible thing as this to happen.

I gathered my flashlight and a bucket of water heading out to the pasture.
It was like half an acre away.

The flashlight seemed very dim for some reason tonight. Time to check the batteries when I get back.

While walking out to the pasture, my eyes started playing tricks on me. I could of sworn I saw a blinking light near the pasture. I was beginning to have second doubts about going, yet I always keep my promises.

When I reached the pasture only one of the horses came close, I strained my eyes and thought I could make out the other two in the distance, but with this fog one couldn't be for sure.

I quickly poured the feed into the container and the the water in its. About then, I start to turn back toward the house and suddenly felt something hairy brush up against my legs.

My heart about jumped out of my chest. It was beating so fast I could hardly move. My body trembled like one on a frigid day.

I started back spanning all around me with the flashlight. There in the distance look like eyes of wolves. There were lots of yellow eyes almost glowing while looking my way.

Being so frantic, I suddenly tripped over something. Falling hard to the ground, to discover I was fine after I brushed my body off. But my flashlight was no where to be found. It would be way too dangerous to travel back home without it.

I felt all around on the ground where I thought it was and suddenly felt something wet. It made my hand smelled awful, like blood from raw meat. Suddenly I became ill and my stomach was lurching.

As I calmed down and stopped throwing up, I could of sworn I heard chanting voices nearby. By now my mind was running rapid with lots of horrific ideas and thoughts.

Thinking to myself, had I stumbled upon a site of those culprits who slaughtered the animals last year? Being still unable to find my flashlight, I had to practically crawl back to the house.

In the air was a horrible scent, almost like someone was cooking out,but surely not this late at night. Yet is smelled odd, like bad meat smelled when it was rancid.

Thinking to myself,I prayed, Lord just let me get home safely and I'll help the needy or do whatever you want me too.

Just then I came upon the house; I reached out for the door knob. I let out bloody scream as if a murder had took place!

I looked to see what was on my hand. It was a large black spider! It had fallen from no where onto my hand. Shaking my hand to knock it off, I continued to scream.

I couldn't take anymore frights tonight, I must get some rest. Still trembling I proceed inside.

Once inside I locked my door quickly. Usually I don't need too with me living in the country.

I went and took my shower and hurried to bed. Snuggling up with a good romance book to take my mind off of all that happened tonight.

Being so exhausted it wasn't long before I had fallen into a deep sleep! I dreamed of this and that, but all become a murky foggy scene in mind.

I found myself standing off to the side watching the culprits, as they slowly laid animals upon a large rock. They were all clothed in black, wearing hoods that hid their faces.

A bell clang softly and all started to chant. The next thing I saw was the animal up close that was meant for their offering. It was a black and white dog I think.

It must of already been dead, it didn't make a sound. It seemed limped from what I could make out.

They all started to chant once again and what I think it was the head man took and laid the animal on the rock and then proceeded to bite at its neck like a wild animal himself.

Everything was so dark and all was so confusing. I couldn't believe what my eyes saw next!

Holding a goblet of some sort to the animals neck filling it with blood. When it was full another filled his and so on.

Next another was chosen to decapitate the animal and prepare it for later. How much more could I watch, I was thinking to myself, but for some unGodly reason I was unable to move my body.

I think the fright had made me stiff all over, and by now pain was starting in from the stiffness. It seemed it all went on for hours. I became immune to the sights and smell surrounding me.

The altar was decorated with animals heads on sticks and the candles outlined a shape similar to that I saw on television a year ago.

All of a sudden, behind me I felt hot breath that was breathing down my bare cold neck! Someone has found me spying. Oh no! My scream was frozen in my throat!

They took my arms and pushed me forward. All had started chanting again with such power and wildness this time.

What was they going to do to me? I knew the ritual they performed on the animals and could tell on them.

My next frightening thought was I was afraid I'd be the next sacrifice. I would soon die. But I was too young, had too many things to do.

They took me to the rock, laid me down upon it just as they did the animals. The worst part of all I couldn't move, it was if they had a spell on me.

I could suddenly smell the blood and flesh from the animal carcasses. Feeling ill inside, my head was spinning, then all of a sudden the sky went totally black, making me feel as if I was spinning into oblivion.

My whole body begin spinning and spinning round and round..............

I awoke in my bed with my body and hair drenched in sweat. I was so wet and found myself twisted in my bed sheet.

It was the most horrible dream of my life. Waking slowly I was trembling.
Still I felt I had forgotten something!

The morning news broadcast once again, "animals went missing and upon daylight another altar was discovered with hundreds of dead carcasses."

A shiver ran down my spine, had I really been there and escaped, or was it all just a bad, bad dream?

Guess neither of us will know for now. As I was heading to kitchen for some coffee to wake up with, I was never aware I was leaving behind me a trail of bloody footprints..............!
I hate it when things end in "It was all a dream" :p
Read again Chris, bloody footprints after they awaken!!!
Here's one based on The Night Before Christmas with a twist!

Twas the night before Halloween
when all thru the house,
all creatures were stirring,
even a pet mouse.
All the traps were set
on the floor with care
In the hope that a rat
soon would be there.
Then what to my wondering eyes should I see,
but a Vampire, a Witch and the Ghost made three.
A old black cat moving lively and quick,
I knew any moment I'd soon become sick!
And more rapid than the wind , all gathered together
for a bite of the frightfully "Scary Stew!"
All stood stiring the Scary Witches stew,
stiring the little children with a dash of eye of newt.
From out of the darkness with a leap and a bound
come the Grim Reaper with the sycle he found.
Tasting the stew, he let out a big yelp
It needs something more and with his sycle reached out.
He spoke not a word but went straight to his work
and filled all the pot with six more clerks.
Tasting with his finger, a sniff with his nose,
he then gave a nod and and struck a deadly pose!
Raising his sycle to declare all was well
was when the witches head suddenly fell.
He ate his stew, followed with a bloody brew
look out, cause later tonight he'll be coming for you!

"Happy Halloween to all and to all a Good Fright".
