There has been a killing rampage at Ft. Hood Military Base where I think 13 are confirmed dead and many more wounded. I hope anyone on FOD that reads this would say a silent prayer (if you believe in that) for all the families who are suffering. It is one thing to die on Active Duty, but this is just POINTLESS death.

I hope anyone here who has family over there finds out that their loved ones are ok.

Thanks all.

A very humbled and sad,
~LittleEarthAngel~

i think that improving laws that regulate the process selling weapons to public will help more than a silent prayer

According to the BBC the FBI know nothing of any connection to a terrorist plot, that he did it off his own accord so to speak.

They are still unsure of his motives as he's still recovering from his injuries in custody, one rumour though is that he turned on his men because he didn't want to be deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq. Perhaps a wake up call to Obama (and Gordon Brown for that matter?) that it's finally time to bring the troops home.

Also interestingly he was "noticed" by the FBI in December of last year but he "did not raise concern."

Well... you just can't trust psychiatrists!

Yet, people who did work with him "claimed" he had extremist views, I just don't understand why, if there was any doubt about his intentions, he was allowed to continue to work in his position, its incredibly ludicrous...

as is, for that matter, getting the hump 'cos someone who is blind in one eye, and virtually blind in the other, mistook Janes, for James... i have utmost respect for our soldiers, but talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill!!!
